    Job Location: This position will be located 1706 E Elm Street Jefferson City, MO 65109. Department of Mental Healths Roberts building.

    The Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), Division of Developmental Disabilities (DD) seeks a Director of State Support Coordination. This position can be domiciled at any DMH Regional Office State-wide. There is an expectation of at least monthly travel to various office locations in Missouri with overnight travel scheduled far in advance.

    Job Duties:

    •Provide technical expertise and serve as the Division’s subject matter expert in Missouri support coordination practices.

    •Develop and maintain support coordinator policy, practice and technical design with an emphasis on the importance of person-centered thinking as a priority at the state, local and individual level.

    •Provide training and technical assistance focused on supporting state support coordination teams in achieving Missouri Support Coordination Core Competencies, Medicaid Waiver Requirements, State Plan Requirements and best practices.

    •Lead the state support coordination organizational efficiency efforts to enhance state support coordination culture, system design, and quality improvement.

    •Design and oversee data collection and analysis processes to support the on-going organizational efficiency efforts.

    •Supervise and coach the Statewide Support Coordination Specialist Teams to meet their statewide initiatives and make data driven decisions.

    •Promote the Department and Division mission, vision, and values in all aspects of operations and service delivery.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree and five years of professional experience in Missouri support coordination services with responsibility for statewide, regional, and/or large-scale program planning, development, coordination or implementation.

    Experience in a related field may be considered, such as experience in a program providing mental health, social, substance use, educational, intellectual disability/developmental disability, Medicaid, or public health services, and/or abuse/neglect investigations.

    Knowledge, Skills, and abilities:

    The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to organize and schedule multiple tasks and projects, to work closely with peers, providers, and other stakeholders, and well-developed analytical, process improvement, time management and observation skills.

    Candidates should have a strong knowledge base of Missouri support coordination and Medicaid home and community-based services.
