What you’ll do: - Process Cafeteria Plan Refunds.
- Process Payroll Accounting Change and Correction (PACC) entries in SAM II HR.
- Prepare direct deposit advices and paper checks for agency distribution.
- Audit direct deposit applications and put final approval on them in SAM II HR.
All you need for success:Minimum Qualifications - Working knowledge of State Statutes, Code of State Regulations, Statewide and OA Policies relating to payroll.
- Working knowledge of the SAM II HR and Financial System
- Working knowledge of SAM II HR Data Warehouse, Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the unit and with other OA divisions.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices and ability to apply them to varied accounting transactions.
- Two or more years of financial experience with a governmental agency or a private sector accounting, finance or brokerage firm.
OR
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in Accounting. (Business or governmental accounting experience (above entry level) involving the maintenance or recording of financial data may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required college education.)
Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate's name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
