    Join Our Team as a Fleet Manager!

    We are looking for a driven and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support our dedicated Street Maintenance Department in maintaining and repairing the city’s streets.

    What You’ll Do:
    • Operate heavy equipment like backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, and more.
    • Repair and maintain city streets (patch potholes, seal cracks, etc.).
    • Install street signs, traffic devices, and holiday decorations.
    • Clean ditches, culverts, and right-of-way areas.
    • Perform minor building repairs and assist with herbicide applications.
    • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
    • Maintain and operate various hand and power tools.

    What You’ll Bring to the Team:
    • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and tools.
    • Knowledge of street maintenance and safety practices.
    • Good problem-solving skills and teamwork abilities.
    • Clear communication and ability to follow instructions.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 1-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
    • Valid Texas driver’s license.
    • Ability to obtain Air Brake Endorsement within six months.

    Work Environment & Physical Demands:
    • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
    • Lift, bend, and operate machinery regularly.
    • Exposure to dust, dirt, and heavy equipment noise.
    • Use safety gear like gloves, goggles, and masks.
