    The City Manager serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the City of Davis, playing a pivotal role in shaping and realizing the City's vision for the future. The City Manager fosters an environment that embraces integrity, service, inclusion, and collaboration while building and maintaining positive working relationships with co-workers, other City employees and the public. The ideal candidate will be an approachable team player who values collaboration and consensus-building as key elements of effective leadership. They must also be highly adaptable with the ability to facilitate dynamic situations.   With a proven track record of establishing strong working relationships and maintaining open lines of communication across all organizational levels, this individual will work closely with the City Council and Executive Team to align city initiatives with community values and goals.   

     

    The current City Manager’s annual salary is $280,051.20. The salary for the incoming City Manager is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
