    As a Project Manager, the core responsibilities of this position include the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of assigned projects. Projects will cover a diverse range of technologies and objectives.

    This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD).

    • Serve as an IT Project Manager on small-to-large projects.
    • Continually collaborate with project stakeholders and team members.
    • Responsible for traditional Project Management activities, including but not limited to: creating Project Plans, defining scope, estimating costs, oversight of project budget, accurate and timely status reporting, and mitigating project issues through change requests.


    • Ability to perform all duties expected of an IT Project Manager with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to plan and organize projects, ensuring project deadlines are met.
    • Ability to manage a project from conception to implementation.
    • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with team members, stakeholders and senior leadership.
    • Ability to lead a team. Ability to mentor, coach, and develop skills of staff. Ability to negotiate.
    • Knowledge of Agile and Traditional Project Management methodologies.
    • Knowledge of Project Management Best Practices.

    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

    Strengths in Negotiation, Lean and Strategic Thinking, Building Strong Partnerships and Relationship Building, and the ability to develop productive, team-oriented relationships are also beneficial. Knowledge of Scrum according to Scrum.org’s Scrum Guide is also beneficial.
