OverviewWe are looking for a Plumbing Technician!
Join a skilled team that helps keep Larimer County facilities running smoothly and safely. This role goes beyond standard plumbing work-you'll support essential operations by collaborating with other departments on space use changes, providing input during planning and construction, and ensuring compliance with safety and accessibility standards.
Whether you're coordinating with security and risk management, helping adapt facilities for changing needs, or supporting emergency responses, your work will directly contribute to the safety, comfort, and functionality of County buildings.
Schedule 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing systems and equipment, including sinks, toilets, valves, water heaters, and pumps.
- Maintaining kitchen and laundry equipment such as dishwashers, ovens, steamers, washers, and dryers.
- Performing preventive maintenance on water systems, drainage systems, and related devices.
- Testing and maintaining systems, including backflow preventers, septic tanks, well systems, and boilers.
- Collaborating on plumbing redesigns or site use changes, and overseeing work by contractors or maintenance staff.
- Analyzing problems and recommending or initiating major repairs, replacements, or upgrades.
- Reviewing construction plans and attending pre-construction meetings.
- Responding to emergencies as needed, including after hours.

- Reliable attendance and willingness to respond to urgent issues

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Three (3) years of experience with plumbing installation and service maintenance required.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
- Colorado State Journeyman Plumber's License required.
