The Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Administrative Services, seeks an Accountant to be located in Jefferson City, Missouri. Roberts Building 1706 E Elm Street Jefferson City, MO 65109. This position will be a part of the Accounting Unit.

Division of Administrative Services Accounting Unit is a multi-faceted unit and provides growth and opportunities for development. Normal work hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday through Friday, however flextime may be available.
What you will do: - Process invoices and expense accounts for the Division of Developmental Disabilities, Directors Office, Administration and Human Resources
- Serve as back up for other payables Accountants within the unit.
- Serve as back up for cash receipt processing
- Process bi-monthly Medicaid Revenue journal voucher
- Process other journal vouchers as requested
- Assist with annual archiving of fiscal documents
- Attend trainings and professional development as needed to assist in your role
- Maintain an effective, professional working relationship with supervisors, co-workers and staff in other agencies and offices.
- Utilize work time and property in an appropriate manner and to the benefit of the department, while minimizing waste and inefficiencies.

Minimum Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree with zero to two years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed). (The lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.)
A working knowledge of accounting, finance or closely related field.
