- Responsible for planning, promoting, and evaluating the statewide Child Care Health Consultation (CCHC) program which is delivered through local public health agencies (LPHAs).
- Manages the CCHC Program Grant Award, which includes developing the scope of work, fiscal forecasting and tracking, invoice approval, oversight of deliverable requirements, and annual monitoring.
- Manages CCHC content and resources and provides training and technical assistance to LPHAs.
- Responsible for required data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Responsible for coordinating and presenting information to advisory committees/councils and serves as the office representative to communities and/or advisory boards pertaining to the CCHC Program.
- Oversees the annual CCHC program effectiveness survey, evaluates and analyzes results, and recommends changes as needed.
- Assists with the preparation and review of budget information for CCHC.
- Provides CCHC Program orientation as needed for LPHAs, assists in the development and delivery of health promotions for children in child care, and assists in the development and delivery of professional development clock hour trainings for child care providers.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of professional public health as it relates to child care and early care and education programs.
- Ability to communicate and express ideas effectively, orally and in writing, including public presentations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Department staff and other state and local agencies.
- Ability to work under minimal direct supervision including effective time management and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health sciences, health education, or other related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Two or more years of experience in public health and/or providing health services to the early childhood population.
