The Network Director is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, management, and security of the organization's network infrastructure and enterprise communications systems, including voice, video, messaging, and collaboration. This role leads a team of network engineers and technicians to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of all networking systems. - Develop and execute an enterprise strategy for network infrastructure and unified communications systems, ensuring alignment with the organization’s business objectives.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, and cloud networking solutions.
- Ensure reliability, high availability, security, and performance of all networking and UC services.
- Manage relationships with network hardware, software, and service vendors.
- Manage and mentor teams of network and communications engineers.
- Partner with internal cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to align technologies and ensure integration and compliance.
- Develop and manage budgets, vendor contracts, service-level agreements, and technology roadmaps.
- Establish policies and procedures related to network infrastructure and operations.
- Oversee disaster recovery planning and business continuity for network systems.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends in networking and communications to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in network engineering and operations, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience in multi-site enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
- Ability to manage large-scale network upgrades and transformations.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
