This position is with the Office of Administration Division of Facilities Management, Design, and Construction (OA-FMDC) supporting the Capital Improvements Accounting team within the CI Budget & Accounting Unit. - Prioritize excellent customer service for a wide and diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to internal teams, state agencies, state officials, contractors, vendors and the public.
- Ensure the timely, accurate entry of a variety of CI fiscal activities such as those relating to purchasing, deposits, accounts payable, and journal vouchers in compliance with statutes, regulations, and other guidelines.
- Generate spreadsheets, reports, and other queries (such as those relating to project expenditure, fixed assets, and financial reports) for cyclic reporting and analysis.
- Backup Agency Budget Senior Analyst with all CI Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) requests from OA-Accounting-ACFR.
- Backup Agency Budget Senior Analyst with all CI Closed Project Expenditure Reporting provided to OA-Accounting-ACFR and the corresponding state agency.
- Approve CI encumbrance and payment documents in eBuilder and SAMII/Financial ensuring compliance with statutes, regulations, policies and appropriation authority.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the rejection of encumbrance and payment documents to ensure timely processing using sound judgement and critical thinking to determine appropriate situation action.
- Backup Agency Budget Senior Analyst to troubleshoot and resolve CI fixed asset tracking and reporting issues through SAMII Financial.
- Assist team members, management, and partner agencies with CI accounting support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to prioritize and execute statistical and financial data work independently with minimal supervision and acute attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices (including applicable statutes, CSRs, statewide and Office of Administration policies relating to accounting) with the ability to apply them to varied accounting transactions.
- Advanced knowledge of SAM II Financial and the Data Warehouse.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. (Advanced skill in Excel and Access preferred.)
- Excellent attendance, work ethic, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license or from an adjacent state if you reside outside of Missouri.
Preferred Qualifications: - A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in Accounting; and, two or more years of professional business or governmental accounting experience including the processing of financial data which requires the interpretation and application of established accounting procedures preferred.
