    Job Summary

    Starting Salary: $31.51 - $41.74

    Nature of Work:

    The Capital Improvement Project Coordinatorperforms responsible professional and administrative work in support of the Capital Improvement Division. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of capital improvement projects from the planning phase through project closeout.

    The Coordinator is responsible for uploading and managing project-related documents and data within construction management systems, maintaining accuracy and data integrity. The role involves general project administration and providing support to division staff, including engineers, project managers, and administrative personnel. The Coordinator works collaboratively with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and community stakeholders to help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards.

    This position operates under the general supervision of the Public Works Program Manager, with performance evaluated periodically through both formal and informal reviews.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field and two (2) years of administrative experience in project management ; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience with construction management software or project management software desired.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
