Job Location:- The office for this position is located at the Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 W High Street, Jefferson City, MO. 65101.

This is a Java developer position within ITSD-DNR's Applications Development Team. This position will require a high level of understanding of Java for solving complex problems. The applicant should be familiar with the Scrum framework and comfortable working in small and adaptive teams that may or may not be dispersed. They must also be able to adopt ITSD values: innovation, partnership, passion, respect, and integrity. Developers will also maintain applications by performing enhancements and bug fixes.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

- Refine and estimate Product Backlog Items.
- Write and update technical specifications.
- Coordinate and work with agency staff on open tickets and requests.
- Work independently and within a team environment.
- Existing application maintenance including bug fixes and small enhancements.
- Java, J2EE(JSP, Servlet, EJB), DB2, SQL, HTML, CSS, MVC, Bootstrap, Web Application Security, JavaScript, Spring Boot, Struts.
- Azure DevOps.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Understanding of Scrum framework.
- Passion for process improvement.
- Experience with ServiceNow is a plus.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
