    This position may be filled at one of three levels based on knowledge, skills, and abilities. The entry salary is posted above, the intermediate starting salary of $56,712.48, and a senior starting salary of $61,249.44.

Consider joining MoDOT as an Information Systems Technologist. This position will help end users with computer hardware and software issues by troubleshooting, diagnosing and finding solutions. Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision.

    What you’ll do:

    • Provides IT support to end-users relative to hardware and software issues; analyzes and diagnoses problems relative to the equipment or software; instructs the user on operating the system.
    • Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs all software applications, operating systems, new products, and hardware for workstations.
    • Tests, documents, configures, and performs software and hardware installations and upgrades.
    • Assists in coordination and planning with department personnel to recommend solutions for current or future application needs and systems compatibility issues.
    • Prepares application documentation, including user manuals, operations procedures, and technical and testing documentation.


    All you need for success:

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 60 credit hours toward a related Bachelor's Degree, or
    • Associate’s Degree: Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or
    • High School Diploma or GED/HiSET, and two years of experience in computer systems, repairs, and operations


    Special Working Conditions:

    • Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
