    What You'll Be Doing

    Join #TeamWake as a Patient Access Representative and help our community gain access to the healthcare they need! As a Patient Access Representative you will be the initial point of contact, setting the process and attitude of the clinic operations by providing administrative and customer service support to Health Clinic clients and staff. In your new role, you will use your client-focused approach and strong customer service skills to greet and assist the public by completing patient registration and directing patient to the appropriate facilities/ resources. You will be the friendly face Wake County residents know they can count on you to direct them to the care and help they need.

    Bilingual candidates and those with previous experience in a medical office setting including check in/check out responsibilities, answering a multiline phone system, medical terminology and referrals/referral coordination/follow-ups are encouraged to apply.

    The Basics (Required Education and Experience)

    • High school diploma or GED
    • One year of job-related experience
    • Equivalent education and experience are accepted

    Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)

    • Fluency in Spanish and English (oral and written)
    • Fluency in Spanish and English Medical Terminology (oral and written)
    • Previous experience in medical office setting including check in/check out responsibilities and answering a multiline phone system
    • Experience with referrals/referral coordination/follow-ups


    How Will We Know You're 'The One'?

    • Ability to maintain effective and open communication with all team members in the clinic
    • Knowledge of the medical billing process, including insurance and self-pay clients
    • Ability to access and navigate in NC Tracks, Athena, EPIC and NCIR
    • Ability to utilize office equipment and other relevant technology (Software and systems) to meet business needs
    • Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with co-workers and clients by listening, understanding and responding to identified needs
    • Knowledge of appropriate policies and procedures for day to day management of the financial aspects of the clinic
    • Ability to be relied upon to ensure that projects within the area of responsibility are completed in a timely manner

    Hiring Range: 22.48 - 26.49

    Market Range: 22.48 - 30.51

    Emergency Service Worker Statement
