    HR Clerical Assistant - Department of Mental Health at NMPRC

    3505 Frederick Ave., St. Joseph, MO 64506

    Full-Time Monthly Salary: $3,087.32

    What you’ll do:

    Second-level administrative support position that performs a variety of clerical work in support of the work area. Employees at this level are required to have a knowledge of the procedures and processes applicable to the performance of the work and to organize their work on a daily or weekly basis by exercising independence and judgment that is greater than lower level positions.

    This description may not include all of the duties, knowledge, skills, or abilities associated with this classification.

    Examples of work:

    • Advertising internally & externally for current employment opportunities

    • Represent the facility at hiring events

    • Distribute and Track all Applications

    • Assist with onboarding processes

    • Document advertising and interviewing process outcomes

    • Assembly informational packets for applicants and newly on-boarded team members

    • Filing, file prep, scanning, and storage

    Carries out assigned responsibilities with considerable independence and makes decisions concerning work procedures and processes; however, an administrative supervisor reviews significant departures from established policies or procedures.

    Performs other related work as assigned.

    Knowledge, skills & abilities:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of business math computations, grammar, composition, and spelling.

    • Intermediate knowledge of computer information systems and software.

    • Introductory knowledge of the principles of office management and supervision.

    • Skill in the use of a keyboard.

    • Ability to apply and interpret agency policies and procedures.

    • Ability to prepare and maintain complex records and reports.

    • Ability to develop and use coding and filing systems.

    • Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness.

    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public.

    • Ability to make complex computations.

    • Ability to assign, review and evaluate the work of staff.

    • Ability to complete assignments accurately within specified timeframes.

    • Ability to train and mentor staff.

    • Ability to develop and implement procedures from general instructions.

    Experience and Educations Requirements:

    • One (1) to Three (3) years of relevant experience
    • High School diploma or GED
