Current vacancy is with the TCICT Department located in Visalia. The anticipated life of the list is six months.Typical Duties DUTY SAMPLE - Oversee Application Development staff resourcing for the maintenance and development of custom applications, scripts, or source code.
- Assist in long and short-range planning for the unit or division.
- Writes, revises, tests, documents, and implements development procedures as required.
- Assume primary responsibility for the organization and use of standard county source code repositories and coding standards utilized by programmers.
- Assist other functional units directly, through delegation, or collaboration with the development of cloud-based services with automation components.

Education: - Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field
Equivalency for Education: - Job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two (2) years of the educational requirement.
Experience: IT Manager - Programmers: - Four (4) years of work experience in supervision of business application development and support staff, or four (4) or more years as an Administrative Programming Analyst II.
Knowledge of: - Principles and practices of supervision.
- Methods of long-term strategic technical planning.
- Personnel policies and procedures.
Skill/Ability to: - Work and communicate effectively with people of various education and socioeconomic backgrounds by respecting beliefs, interpersonal styles and behaviors of both clients and co-workers.
- Operate contemporary office equipment inclusive of computer, keyboard, and all applicable electronic equipment.
- Plan, organize and manage the staff activities in the design, development and maintenance of computer systems, databases, and applications.
- Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate staff.
- Supervise, coordinate, and manage information technology related activities.
- Manage resources of a unit within budget and policy parameters.

Vacation Accrual :
2 weeks per year (0-3 years of service)

Limit of 300 hours.
FLSA exempt employees accrue an additional 5 days of vacation per year.
Sick Leave Accrual : 12 days per year with unlimited accumulation, 60 hours of which may be used toward family sick leave.
