Why you’ll love this position:The State of Missouri is seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB/ITOM/ Service Mapping Administration Specialist to join our ITSD team. In this role, you will focus on managing, optimizing, and enhancing our ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate configuration data, supporting IT service reliability, and driving operational efficiency.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting Enterprise IT Operations (EIT).

- Administer and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with industry best practices (ITIL, CSDM).
- Configure and optimize ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping for comprehensive visibility of IT assets, services, and dependencies.
- Develop and manage data integrations between ServiceNow and external IT systems, including automation and custom scripting (JavaScript, Python, REST/SOAP APIs).
- Monitor and improve CMDB health, conduct regular audits, and resolve data discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments and operational teams to support Change, Incident, Problem, and other ITIL processes.
- Maintain and configure MID Servers, and manage cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Create and maintain documentation for CMDB processes, integrations, and governance.
- Produce management reports, KPIs, and dashboards to track asset performance and service dependencies.
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of ServiceNow CMDB, ITOM, Discovery, and Service Mapping modules.
- Familiarity with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and ITIL frameworks.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, network topology, and cloud environments.
- Familiarity or proficiency with Bash/PowerShell.
Skills:
- Advanced ServiceNow administration and configuration skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (JavaScript, Python) and web services (REST, SOAP).
- Experience with integrating ServiceNow with third-party systems and tools.
- Strong data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Abilities:
- Ability to manage and optimize complex ITOM and CMDB environments.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to produce clear documentation and actionable reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow System Administration and ITOM certifications or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Performance Analytics and reporting tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
