Under the general direction of the City Manager, the Utilities Director provides analysis and review of the services and activities of the water and wastewater Utility operations, ensuring that all services and activities adhere to established City policies, procedures, and contracts. The City of Rialto is seeking a collaborative, forward-thinking professional to serve as the Utility Director. The ideal candidate not only has deep subject matter expertise but also has a keen sense of building relationships and partnerships with an ability to navigate complex political environments. The City is interested in candidates that have backgrounds in a wide array of utilities operations including administration, contract management, or engineering and have an ability to communicate deeply technical information in clear, concise and meaningful ways. It is essential that the candidate possesses the ability to oversee and manage the operations, services and activities of a public works engineering program including water and wastewater utilities. Experience with budget preparation and control is required.
The annual salary range for the Utilities Director is $183,132 - $245,412; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
