    Overview

    We are hiring an Administrative Specialist!

    At Larimer County Department of Human Services, we strive to be responsive, provide timely resources in partnership with our community so individuals and families are healthy, supported, and safe. We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, enthusiastic and inclusive staff member to join our Aging and Adult Services Division as an Administrative Specialist I/II.

    The Administrative Specialist will work in the Long-Term Care Unit, performing workload tasks related to clients' electronic communication through multiple entry points. This position is responsible for triaging documents from our Long-Term Care and Disability emails and for triaging and scheduling applications.

    The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

    Responsibilities

    What you'll be doing:
    • Initiating and scheduling public assistance applications for Long Term Care clients.
    • Triaging documents from our Long Term Care and Disability email inboxes into the appropriate systems.
    • Submitting Disability applications to ARG via email.
    • Ensuring cases are assigned to the correct caseloads.

    • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
    • Proficiency with spreadsheet tools (such as Excel or Google Sheets) and PDF editing software.
    • Willingness and ability to quickly learn industry-specific software.
    • Self-motivated, analytical thinker with a high level of attention to detail.


    Qualifications

    Depending on qualifications, this position may be hired as an Admin I or Admin II.

    Administrative Specialist I: $22.2900/hr - $24.8017/hr
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • One (1) year of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar office administrative duties and responsibilities required.
    Administrative Specialist II: $22.29006/hr - $26.1674/hr
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • One (1) year experience as an Administrative Specialist I or two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar office administrative duties and responsibilities required.

    This is a hybrid position and will require at least one day per week in the office . You will also be required to have adequate internet access and space for remote work. Larimer County provides an annual remote work stipend to assist with equipment and office supply needs for remote workspaces.

    Office hours for this position will be located at one of the following three locations: 1501 Blue Spruce Drive, Fort Collins, CO 2555 Midpoint Drive, Fort Collins, CO 200 Peridot Avenue, Loveland, CO.

    All new employees and rehires will be required to submit fingerprints for a CBI criminal background check (c.r.s. 26-6-104).

    An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of required pre-employment checks or testing.
