This position will be located at
1730 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO. The work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Conduct activities related to hazardous waste generator notifications, reports, and fees.
- Maintain data entry, quality, and accuracy for hazardous waste facilities.
- Assist with development and implementation of ongoing information system solution project.
- Interact with and guide the regulated community regarding hazardous waste generator requirements.
To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:
- Environmental Science : Knowledge of concepts, principles, theories, and methods to protect and improve the quality of the environment and its resources.
- Technical Credibility : Understands and appropriately applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies.
- Analysis and Assessmen t: Using information technology to access, collect, analyze, maintain, and convey data/information.
Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- Preferred degree program would include a combination of the following: Environmental Science or Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science, Geology, Forestry, Soil Science, Ecology, Wildlife Management, Agriculture, Animal Science, Natural Resource Management, Soil Conservation, or a closely related field. Experience in data analytics is preferred (additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience).
- Three or more years of experience as an Environmental Program Analyst.
- Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.
