    Associate Research/Data Analyst

    Division of Workers’ Compensation/Enterprise Functions Unit

    Salary Range: $46,000 - $50,000 annually

    The Enterprise Functions Unit supports functions Division-wide by providing data analytics, statistical reporting, technical support, training, organizational change management, and process review and standardization recommendations. The Unit also supports the Division’s modernization efforts by coordinating Division staff and efforts and prioritizing work assignments.

    What you will do:

    • Act as the Division’s data steward, collecting, organizing and reviewing data for accuracy and consistency.

    • Review and maintain the Division’s master and reference data, templates and tables to ensure accurate data and correspondence are used throughout the computer system.

    • Maintain user roles and permissions within the Divisions’ computer system and aid in account registration.

    • Provide research and support to the Division’s Senior Research Analyst.

    • Assist in researching and compiling of data for the Division Annual Report, the Departmental Annual Report and for budgetary purposes.

    • Review material for consistency and apply basic mathematical and statistical methods of analysis.

    All you need for success:

    Qualifications

    • 5 years relevant experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification.

    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant.

    Desired Attributes

    • Knowledge of methods and techniques of collection, compilation and analysis of research data.

    • Skilled in SQL and/or PostgreSQL and have other relevant database-related experience. Tableau experience is highly preferred.

    • Ability to analyze data, identify patterns and detect inconsistencies.

    • Understanding of data governance framework, principles, and compliance regulations.

    • Ability to follow complex instructions.

    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
