    Job Summary

    Performs specialized recreation work in providing leisure programs, sports, and other recreational activities for various ages and abilities, individuals, and groups. Assists a Recreation Supervisor in operating a community center and overall organization and delivery of general recreational activities, leagues, special events, clinics, and seasonal programs. Work includes maintaining log/records collection of membership and/or rental fees, preparing financial and attendance reports, and opening/closing the facility. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Recreation supervisor and reviewed while in progress and upon completion by observation and through reports submitted. Some positions may require working outdoors, and the employee may occasionally be exposed to extreme heat and insects. Required to work evenings and weekends. Oversee Middle school Programming and Recruiting.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and one (1) year of experience in the recreation field required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid Florida Driver's License required. Polygraph required.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
