We are seeking a proactive team player who can apply critical thinking & problem solving in order to assist state agencies and vendors with questions, inquiries and processes regarding the State Financial System.
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Assisting state agencies and vendors with various inquiries, procedures and processes regarding the MissouriBUYS and SAMII Financial systems.
- Process Chart of Accounts requests and Inter-Agency Check Cancellations.
- Process correction documents, agency requests and review reports.
- Contribute to the 1099 and Fiscal Year End processes.
- Assist with testing and implementation of programming changes or upgrades with MissouriBUYS and MOVERS.
Minimum Qualifications - Advanced knowledge of State Statutes, Code of State Regulations, Statewide and OA Policies relating to accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of SAM II Financial and the Data Warehouse.
- Advanced knowledge of MissouriBUYS.
- Ability to create reports and spreadsheets in Microsoft Access and Excel
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the unit and with other OA divisions.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices and ability to apply them to varied accounting transactions.
- Ability to perform detailed work using statistical and financial data.
- Two or more years of experience as a Senior Accounts Assistant with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency
OR - A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in Accounting; and, two or more years of professional business or governmental accounting experience including the processing of financial data which requires the interpretation and application of established accounting procedures.
