    The Role:
    The Project Analyst collects and analyzes Engineering department project data and provides result illustrations for management decision-making. This position interfaces with various departments in the LVCC to ensure the proper communication and implementation of project procedures.

    What You’ll Accomplish:
    Keep in mind that this list is not all inclusive.

    • Turn Data Into Information:
    • Collect project-related data and perform analysis.
    • Design and communicate a process workflow for all engineering projects.
    • Analyze data, prioritize tasks and expedite projects on the critical path to maintain schedules. Make recommendations to management for project prioritization.

    • Communicate Effectively:
    • Communicate with various stakeholders regarding the status of capital construction projects.
    • Prepare short presentations to showcase the completion of construction projects around the LVCC.

    • Assist With Capital Project Budgets:
    • Provide research and maintain tracking of the department’s 10-year capital plan.
    • Implement and monitor the budget to project completion.
    • Analyze and evaluate all purchases for the department. Assess departmental needs and make recommendations.

    • Administer Department Technology:
    • Administer construction software and troubleshoot issues with ITD and vendor. Evaluate software updates and make recommendations for change when warranted.
    • Maintain the Engineering SharePoint Team site. Provide updates to ambassadors regarding building information.

    • Perform Administrative Tasks:
    • Review and evaluate all project-related paperwork. Provide guidance management on proper procedures of various administrative tasks as needed.
    • Write construction-related board agenda items.
    • Audit invoices to verify the accuracy of contracted rates and time sheets. Track responses relating to payment requests.
    • Analyze certified payroll on prevailing wage jobs for compliance with NRS statutes.


    What We’re Looking For
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field
    • Demonstrated performance of related experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel
    • Ability to analyze and evaluate issues, resolve problems, and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors, customers, and the public
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
    • Ability to work from construction drawings and schematics
    • Must have a valid Nevada driver’s license and maintain it during employment
