We are seeking a dynamic leader to work closely with other Records supervisors to lead our Records team of approximately 15 technicians and specialists. This particular role will be responsible for supporting our Public Release and Redaction Team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to inspire and guide a diverse group toward achieving our goals. Applicants should have a proven track record of collaboration and advocacy, effectively working across departments to ensure the successful execution of the release of records to stakeholders while following policy and state statute.
The starting salary range for this position is $59,413 to $71,296. ResponsibilitiesThe following statements are illustrative of the duties and responsibilities of the job. The organization retains the right to modify or change the duties and responsibilities of the job at any time.
Essential Functions- Exercises direct supervision over assigned staff. Schedules, assigns, and reviews work.
- Assigns, directs, and supervises activities of assigned staff, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards; administers or makes recommendations for routine personnel matters affecting subordinates including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, scheduling work hours, granting leave, appraising performance, disciplining, and submitting such records and reports as required by County policies and procedures.
- Monitors performance of unit to ensure compliance with agency standards and directives and to assure quality of work performance.
- Provides input and suggestions to the manager on the implementation of assigned programs based on current and long-range needs.
- May assume Records Manager duties on a temporary basis when Records Manager is not on shift.
- Performs duties of a Sheriff Public Release Specialist as necessary.
Nonessential Functions- When a local declaration of emergency or disaster is declared by the Board of Commissioners, all Larimer County employees may be required to work as a Disaster Service Worker.
- Performs other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job.

click here.Qualifications- Two (2) years of experience performing increasingly responsible duties in a law enforcement environment required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Notary Public commission within three (3) months of hire required.
- NCIC/CCIC certification within three (3) months of hire required.
- CORA/CCJRA training within twelve (12) months of hire required.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
- Type at least 50 words per minute required.
- Prior transcription experience preferred.
