    Overview

    The District Attorney's Office seeks law students interested in a paid internship.

    Only individuals currently in law school will be considered.

    The District Attorney's Office seeks law students interested in a paid internship with the our office. Only individuals currently in law school will be considered. Specifically, for FALL 2025 we are looking for 2Ls or 3Ls (or those with more than 60 credit hours in law school) and for SPRING or SUMMER 2026 were are looking for 2L or 3Ls.

    As an intern, students will be drafting motions, do research, assisting during trials (as appropriate). Internships are available at both our Loveland and Fort Collins locations, at the County and District Court level. We anticipate hiring 1-2 for the Fall semester (10-15 hours/week), 2 for the Spring of 2026 (10-15 hours/week), and up to 4 for the Summer of 2026 (30-40 hours/week).     Responsibilities

    What you'll be doing:
    • Assisting attorneys in assigned courtrooms or units with various tasks.
    • Working closely with Deputy District Attorneys to gain hands-on experience.
    • Observing and learning the role of a practicing prosecutor.

    • An interest in courtroom work.
    • Familiarity with common legal research techniques.
