    Provider Relations lead



    Typical working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

    Flexible Schedules/No On-call

    This position can be domiciled at any MO Department of Mental Health Regional Office statewide.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Review and understand the contractual process (provider enrollment, contract renewals, contract amendments, contract terminations, etc.).

    • Display a working knowledge of regulations pertaining to DMH contract providers which include, but are not limited to: Medicaid Waiver, Licensure and Certification, DOR’s CSR’s, Fiscal Reviews, Division Directives, etc.

    • Maintain a working knowledge of funding systems and allocations.

    • Review, understand, and follow budgetary guidelines and staffing patterns.

    • Display a technical knowledge of information management systems, which includes but is not limited to Share Point documents, Excel, and CIMOR.

    • Review and understand the Division’s Utilization Review Committee policies and procedures as applies to resource allocation and URC participation.

    • Assist the Director of Provider Relations by completing assigned tasks accurately and within their designated framework.

    • Assure completion of new provider training, attend and present material as needed.

    • Establish and provide technical assistance on contract language, budget format, contracting. Medicaid Waiver standards, recordkeeping, UCR, inquiries, certification standards, and provider development to pending or current service providers, families, and regional office staff.

    • Provide follow up with Office of License and Certification, Missouri Medicaid Audit and Compliance, Procurement Unit, and other Division partners.

    • Attend regular meetings as defined and requested by the Director.

    • Maintain flex schedule in response to timelines in completing job duties.

    • Work in a professional manner within the Regional Office, with each other and all departments and with outside agencies, organizations, i.e. DFS, DOA, DYS, contracted providers, schools, not-for-profit agencies, etc.

    • Department performance expectations have been outlined in the Employee Handbook.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills and Functions:

    • Good organization and decision-making skills, and the ability to work with a variety of providers and build relationships with them, knowledge of DD/DMH vision, guidelines, Department Operating Regulations, Code of State Regulations.

    • Review applications and contract amendments in, adherence to Provider Relation Directives, DD/DMH Division Directives, guidelines, and Code of State Regulations.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of accreditation, certification, and agency standards for care and treatment/habilitation of persons served by the Department of Mental Health.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic/habilitation principles and practices applicable to the assigned programs and services.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of current mental health issues and theories.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of the general operation of DMH

    • Comprehensive knowledge of managerial techniques and administrative practices.

    • Ability to review, analyze, interpret, and/or prepare federal and state laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

    • Ability to provide leadership in professional, technical, and program areas.

    • Ability to develop short and long-range plans that meet established objectives and contribute to the overall goals and mission of DMH.

    • Read and follow directions.

    • Communicate in writing or verbally with individuals,Providers, co-workers, and/or supervisors utilizing agency forms, computer programs and email as required.

    • Possess adequate vision and hearing for the position.

    • Attend and pass annual refresher classes provided through MOVERs.

    • Follow CSR's, Departmental Operating Regulations, and Division Guidelines.

    • Able to perform physical requirements including, but not limited to: frequenct standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; regular walking, talking, hearing, reaching with hands and arms (including above head); occasional climbing of stairs or balancing.

    • Lift at least 20 lbs.

    • Must maintain a current State of MO Driver's License.

    • Must travel as required during work week and may include numerous locations.

    • Attends work according to facility policies to ensure adequate staff coverage.

    Typical Qualifications:

    Three or more years of leadership experience in a role supporting Persons with Developmental Disabilities, or working in a related field.

    Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma, as well as a completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.

    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
