The Family Support Division is seeking candidates to fill a Program Specialist position within the Child Support (CS) Systems Unit. The base location for this position will be in Cole County located at 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO.
Routine travel within Jefferson City for meetings with occasional travel outside of Jefferson City for information gathering, training, workgroup meetings, presentations, etc. is expected.Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Act as lead for Missouri Automated Child Support System (MACSS) corrective, perfective and adaptive projects.
- Analyze CS procedures, system functionality and business performance and recommend improvement projects.
- Consult with staff in operations, policy, support and IT.
- Research, analyze, develop and write business requirements for system projects.
- Plan, prepare, execute and document user acceptance testing/validation for system projects.
- Draft materials communicating system and procedural changes (e.g., memos, system guide materials, etc.)
- Review colleague’s draft materials (e.g., CS Procedural Manual , Forms Manual, Training modules, etc.)
- Facilitate workgroups and attend meetings.
- Review intranet updates of finalized materials on test server.
- Perform checkout of system changes.
- Respond to, research and resolve help desk inquiries.
- Maintain restricted tables in test and production regions of MACSS.
- Monitor, research and resolve issues on assigned business and error reports.
- Exercise significant independence and initiative in the performance of responsibilities; receives general administrative direction.
- Perform other related work as assigned.
Two or more years of experience in a professional or technical job classification with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System in the Missouri Department of Social Services; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
ORA Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and, four or more years of professional or technical experience providing social services; or conducting investigations or audits of social service providers, recipients, and/or applicants.
(24 earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field may substitute for one year of the stated experience.)
(A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related field may substitute for two years of the stated experience.)
(Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the stated college education.)
(Earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a closely related area may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required general experience at a rate of 24 earned credit hours for one year.)
