Role Description:The Missouri Autism Project Specialist (MAP) will support the independence and self-sufficiency of autistic individuals by leading collaborative efforts to improve system supports for individuals with autism and their families
Knowledge, skills & abilities:Interpret and demonstrates knowledge of Code of State Regulations, procedures, and program guides. Strong customer service skills, high attention to detail, problem solver, and change management champion. Ideal candidate will be comfortable in dynamic situations while assisting with the administration of a new program.
Expectations: - Administer Family Flexible Assistance Program
- Assist individuals and families residing in the Northwest and East Autism Projects with completing the Family Flexible Assistance Program application.
- Answer questions related to the Family Flexible Assistance Program and identify statewide resources.
- Verify applications and eligibility for Missouri Autism Project funding.
- Utilize databases for entering, updating, and tracking applications.
- Perform audits and verify compliance for funding.
- Interpret and explain rules, regulations, and policies to individuals and families.
Essential Functions: - Knowledge of DD/DMH vision, mission, and values.
- Follow Code of State Regulations (CSRs), Departmental Operating Regulations (DORs), Division Directives and Division Guidelines.
- Communicate verbally or in writing with individuals, providers, co-workers, and/or supervisors utilizing agency forms, computer programs and email as required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CIMOR, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Read and follow directions.
- Willing to travel throughout the state as needed.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:1 - 2 years of case management experience that includes gathering, analyzing, and presenting data;
OR a Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of case management experience that includes gathering, analyzing, and presenting data.
