    Expected Start Date: September 2025

    Salary Level: Health Screening Parent - $16.32 per hour, Health Screening School- Nurse - $24.19 per hour

    Benefits: None

    Additional Information: This is an hourly position.

    Examples Of Duties:

    Essential Job Functions

    The screening team runs October through December, with one training day on September 20th 4-6 p.m. Individuals sign up for desired shifts and work with the district screening team coordinator to schedule. A set schedule is preferred and Health and Vision Screening team hourly staff can work up to 5 days a week.

    The times vary based on the school served. Elementary is 8:30-3:30; Middle School 7:45-2:45. Both with a half hour break for lunch. Health and Screening hourly staff will only serve one building a day. On late start Wednesdays, they will start 1 hour later.

    Parent Helper- is a non-licensed person who works under the supervisor of the School Nurse and supports in the health screening process for vision and hearing.

    The School Nurse- is a licensed RN who works in partnership with the building School Nurse to facilitate screening. They are the lead on the days they serve. The lead is required to facilitate equipment transfer/ check out from Health Services to their assigned building.

    Both roles support vision and hearing screening. Reliable transportation is required and all equipment and training is provided for the screening support.
