Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) is seeking a customer service-oriented professional to serve as our Recruitment Coordinator. In this role, you will leverage your Human Resources (HR), communication, and talent acquisition expertise to attract, engage, and retain high-quality employees across all JCPL divisions and locations.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to employees and supervisors, providing guidance and training on recruitment strategies, new hire orientation, onboarding, and offboarding practices. Through collaboration with JCPL leadership, staff, and Jefferson County HR, you will help ensure our policies, programs, and practices align with applicable employment laws and support an inclusive, compliant, and high-performing workplace.

Description:Hiring Range: $31.01 - $38.76 per hour. - RECRUITMENT: Coordinates job recruitments with JCPL’s hiring managers and Jefferson County HR department. Acts as administrator of the recruitment software. Develops innovative recruitment methods, composes job announcements, organizes and processes applications. Coordinates tracking of the recruitment process. Responds to inquiries from applicants and hiring team members regarding recruitment and selection procedures. Closes the recruitment process according to JCPL and Jefferson County guidelines. Advises and provides training to JCPL directors, managers, supervisors and employees regarding recruitment. Recommends solutions as issues arise and move them forward to resolution. Represents JCPL with regard to recruitment related issues. Maintains knowledge of industry best practices and works to implement continuous improvement of recruitment methods and processes. Creates new hire documentation and maintains employee files. Coordinates and attends job fairs. Provides leadership in physical and digital recruitment efforts. Develops innovative recruitment strategies in response to organizational needs. Works with County HR partners to ensure consistency in application of personnel rules.
- PAYROLL AND OPERATIONS: Supports temporary and administrative staff performing payroll functions for JCPL. Provides backup for JCPL payroll functions as needed. Maintains knowledge of developments in payroll laws, regulations and procedures. Advises JCPL management on issues related to payroll and timekeeping. Develops and conducts training in the area of payroll as needed to keep staff and management apprised of new developments. Provides HR Information System expertise, leads process improvement efforts and assists the People & Culture Director with HR support, workforce data and reports as needed. Partners with other JCPL systems, HR entities and Mountain States Employers’ Council in responding to surveys and developing HR best practices. Provides accurate and timely employee data for annual reporting and benchmarking.
- HUMAN RESOURCES: Responsible for HR Generalist responsibilities, including the creation and revision of job descriptions and JDQs. Facilitates meetings as requested. Develops and implements consistent processes to ensure employees are supported during transition in and out of JCPL employment. Supports the new employee orientation program and conducts exit interviews. Serves on various JCPL and Jefferson County committees and teams. Provides HR system and process expertise and leads process improvement efforts. May oversee the work of administrative and temporary staff that prepare personnel actions.

Human Resources credential within one year of hire.
Applicants currently residing within Jefferson County Colorado or the Denver Metropolitan Area will be prioritized.
