ABOUT THE POSITION The Clark County Department of Juvenile Justice Services (DJJS) is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Youth and Adult Intervention Specialist I/II position. This position works as a clinician conducting detailed assessments of youth and family clients referred through the Juvenile Court system. This position conducts in-depth interviews with clients, families, and other appropriate individuals. Facilitates and reviews in-depth interviews of clients, adults and other appropriate individuals completed by the contracted providers and offers improvement recommendations; Reviews and consults with contracted providers that administer psychometric tests and other assessment devices, confers with other staff members regarding behavior evidences and develops treatment plans. Prepares recommendations regarding a variety of treatment options, including hospitalization, alternative living arrangements, short- and long-term therapy and rehabilitation, education and other alternatives. Makes and facilitates community-based referrals, coordinates treatment and follows-up as required; refers youth and adults for medical, social, economic and other services that may enhance the treatment process. Documents the work performed by contracted providers who develop case files and make accurate case notes; provides case management in specified areas of assignment. Conducts a variety of analytical studies; develops and reviews reports of findings, alternatives and recommendations; prepares a variety of written materials. Provide direct service to Social Service programs that work with youth aging out of the Foster Care system. In addition to above, Youth and Adult Intervention Specialists at the II level may oversee the work of and provide training to interns and trainees assigned to this functional area of the Department of Social Services. Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team. The Environmental Health Bureau is dedicated to safeguarding the residents and resources of Monterey County by providing services that help promote responsible business practices, by providing educational opportunities to industry workers and public, and when necessary, by enforcing Environmental Health principles and laws. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: Correctional Officer I: This is the entry-level and first working level in the Correctional Officer series. Incumbents work in a learning capacity performing Correctional Officer duties related to the care, custody, and confinement of inmates at the County correctional facility. Initially given detailed direction and supervision in learning the techniques of supervising inmates and jail operations. Once experience is gained, assignments become more varied, complex, and difficult. Close supervision and frequent review of work lessens as the incumbent demonstrates skill to perform independent work. Why you’ll love this position: The Department of Mental Health for the State of Missouri is seeking an Advance Practice Nurse to fill a position on their East/Southeast Regional Forensic Mobile Team. This team serves counties in the Central, Eastern, and Southeast region of Missouri, and this position will include travel. This position will coordinate with community members, program leaders, and other staff to divert adult individuals who have behavioral health needs, from criminal justice detention to appropriate evidence based programs. Considerable travel, rotating 24- hour call duties, possible overnight travel. Must maintain a valid driver’s license, as driving is required. Will conduct comprehensive Medical/Psychiatric assessments, diagnostic formulation and treatment planning. Demonstrate competence in the provision of a variety of evidence based practices such as DBT, CBT, SFBT, supportive psychotherapy, and motivational interviewing. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Either a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric and Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist board certification, and an Advanced Practice Registered Nursing license in the State of Missouri.
