Job Overview Under the general direction of the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA), the Director of Divisional Initiatives and Partnerships provides strategic vision and leadership for all divisional initiatives. In the area of strategic planning, the Director is responsible for the development and implementation of long and short-term strategic plans that align with divisional and institutional priorities, conducting summative assessments and reporting outcomes that will support a culture of data-driven decision-making. The Director works independently to engage both internally and externally to support the division's mission, initiatives, and priorities. The Director supports and moves new initiatives forward. The Director identifies current and future challenges and proposes effective solutions. The Director facilitates an environment that unites, empowers, and inspires the division. The Director ensures cross-divisional support and participation. The Director speaks and advocates with one common voice. Key responsibilities include establishing division-level expectations and assignments related to strategic initiatives and partnerships. Initiatives include but are not limited to earning and maintaining the Seal of Excelencia , pursuing HSI grants, and other funding sources and community partnerships that support the success of all students. The Director provides managerial oversight for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP), the DREAMer Resource Office (DRO), TRIO Student Support Services, and the Developing Hispanic Serving Institution (DHSI) Grant, Childcare Access Means Parents in School program (CCAMPIS) among other programs and departments. As a member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team, the Director actively participates in leadership meetings, strategic planning for the division, and leadership engagement with colleagues throughout the university. The Director provides mentorship and guidance to new and developing leaders throughout the division. The Director actively participates in leadership training and manager/staff development. The Director represents the university/division leadership on systemwide committees and meetings which may involve members of the system leadership, legislators, and partner executives. Position Summary Director, Divisional Initiatives and Partnerships (Administrator II) This is a full time, exempt position in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP). MPP positions serve at the pleasure of the President. This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year. Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $7,900 - $9,166 per month CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,583 - $14,713 per month Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.
