Licensed Mental Health Counselor-CPAN Lubbock 31685BR Position Description Provides individual, family, and group counseling services to patients to address various mental health and wellness-related issues. Conducts assessments and helps patients to problem-solve areas of need. Helps to develop coping strategies and action-based goals and objectives for patients. May specialize in a particular area of counseling. Major/Essential Functions The employee will be an essential team member of the Texas Psychiatry Access Network (TPAN) program, working with both pediatric primary care providers and obstetrician providers. This Mental Health Clinician is responsible for the communication of mental health supports, delivery of clinical guidance and mental health education to medical providers, and assist with assessing patients. Provides assessment materials, instruction, and support to providers and assists in managing the day-to-day administrative operations of health promotion services across West Texas. The clinician will work to enroll additional providers and enhance call volume of requests for services. Required Qualifications Education: Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field. Experience: Three (3) years of related experience required.
