What You'll Be Doing The Physician Supervisor position is part of a team that provides pediatric care to patients from birth to 21 years of age. This lead provider would work along with a team to conduct routine health screenings, offer newborn screenings and care of sick children in addition to working with the leadership team to assure that the clinic functions at the highest possible level. Position would require understanding and comprehension of Standing Orders, Policies, Guidelines and Procedures. Essential functions: Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team achieving patient/client outcomes and goals as established by WCHHS Provide patient/client anticipatory guidance, primary and sick care The position is located within a fast-paced public health clinic and works with a diverse patient population. This position would follow NCIP guidelines. Supervise Advanced Practice Practitioners and a License Clinical Social Worker according to NC Medical and Nursing Board guidelines Provide leadership to the Child Health programs, in collaboration with primary care physicians, Clinical Operation Managers and Nurse Supervisors On call duties: Provide backup call to the nurse triage line on a rotating basis with other providers. Physician does not provide in person care after clinic hours. The Basics (Required Education and Experience) Doctorate in Medicine Three years’ experience and must have completed appropriate residency. Residents in final year of training may apply, with start of work contingent upon obtaining state licensure and Board eligible/certified status. Medical licensure/certification in specialist field (e.g. Family Medicine or Obstetrics & Gynecology Medical Board Certification after completion of Residency) NC Medical Board licensure, DEA registration, Hospital credentialing or eligibility, and NC class C driver’s license Board Certified / Board Eligible in OBGYN or Family Medicine Equivalent education and experience are accepted Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) Bilingual; Pediatric experience in a clinic or outpatient setting Knowledge of vaccine schedule; Experience working on a care team in a clinic setting Experience working with EMR including visits by telehealth Experience following standing protocols for providing patient care Completion of an accredited Pediatric or Family Practice Residency Program and Board Certification in North Carolina Experience in team leadership and supervision of staff Interest in working with underserved populations How Will We Know You're 'The One'?
