THE POSITION The City of Sacramento requires all newly appointed employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. IDEAL CANDIDATE STATEMENT The Program Specialist will manage and oversee the Department of Utilities Safety, Security, and Emergency Preparedness Programs. This position will manage up to 5 staff. The position will be responsible for managing the security needs of the department, which include overseeing the completion of facility vulnerability assessments and the implementation of facility security measures. It also includes managing a large security contract for mobile patrolling and posting of notifications.
