ABOUT THE POSITION The Senior Accounting Assistant is part of the Centralized Billing Unit in the Health and Human Services Departments’ (HHS) Office of Finance. The Senior Accounting Assistant works with the Billing Team to perform a high volume of claiming medical services to governmental and commercial insurance carriers, claims processing and follow-up, and client billing and dispute resolution. Additional duties include client account maintenance, payment posting and preparing bank deposits, preparing and sending client statements, processing client collection accounts and various billing reports and reconciliation.
