Job Description and Duties SENIOR MAINTENANCE AIDE (SEASONAL) - SAN LUIS OBISPO COAST DISTRICT / HEARST SAN SIMEON, STATE HISTORIC MONUMENT / HEARST CASTLE Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. Specialized training is provided on site. Senior Maintenance Aides also work as part of a team performing more technical work, assist conservators or work on special projects. Under supervision, duties may include helping with moving, storing, and packing works of art, set up and take down of special events and Holiday decorations, helping with the integrated pest management program, and temperature and humidity regulation. Must be able to read and write English, follow instructions, and work independently, ability to work with equipment and other tools appropriate for the job and willingness to work on ladders and scaffolding. The Job The Big Bear Valley Recreation and Park District offers multiple and immediate part-time, full-time, seasonal, and year-round employment opportunities at the District-run community and recreational facilities throughout the Big Bear Valley.
