HIRING CONTACT: Angela Bright, (817) 774-1173 PHYSICAL WORK ADDRESS: TPWD Cleburne State Park, 5800 Park Road 21, Cleburne, Texas 76033 GENERAL DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the Park Superintendent and Office Manager, this position is responsible for routine (journey-level) administration support work including the workflow coordination and administrative duties for Cleburne State Park. Provides direction and assistance as a team lead in customer service, fiscal control, revenue collection, accounting and reporting, purchasing, budgeting, training, and other administrative duties and procedures. Performs computerized registration and fee collection, issues permits and licenses. Provides customer service, information and assistance to park visitors and general public. Prepares special reports, researches and prepares correspondence. Provides training and coordinates the work of clerical personnel. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from High School or GED. Experience: Two years experience preforming administrative support duties. Licensure: If driving is required, applicant must possess a State driver's license. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Experience in accounting practices, preparing correspondence, providing reports, collection and control of revenue. Experience using a personal computer with spreadsheet and word processing applications. Customer service and/or public relations experience. Experience in training or supervising employees and/or volunteers. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of general office, administrative and clerical procedures; Knowledge of accounting/accountability of revenue collection; Knowledge of purchasing methods, procedures and sources; Knowledge of budget tracking and monitoring; Skill in using MS Word, Excel and Outlook; Skill in effective verbal and written communication; Skill in providing quality customer service in a courteous and professional manner; Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with co-workers and work-related contacts; Skill in identifying, researching and compiling information; Skill in managing several projects simultaneously; Skill in training others; Ability to prepare and maintain detailed records, files and reports; Ability to work independently with little or no supervision; Ability to work as a member of a team; Ability to handle cash accurately and account for revenue collected; Ability to maintain flexibility and work with frequent interruptions and multiple changing priorities; Ability to perform manual labor including, lifting supplies and materials up to 25 lbs.; Ability to conduct work activities in accordance with TPWD safety program. WORKING CONDITIONS Required to work in a public park with overnight camping and day use; Required to work 40 hours per week, including various schedules with hours other than 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and days off other than Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; Required to adjust to changing schedules; Required to perform manual labor including, lifting supplies and materials up to 25 lbs.; May be required to operate a State vehicle; Required to travel 5% with possible overnight stays; Must conform to TPWD dress and grooming standards, work rules and safety procedures; Non-smoking environment in State vehicles and buildings.
