Inspects traffic signal and intelligent transportation systems work performed by contractors. Supervising Engineering Technician's duties will include the preparation and review of legal descriptions, plat maps, covenant agreements, special agreements, public street and utility abandonments, deeds, and boundary, title and easement research and review and approval of subdivision maps. The successful candidate will work within the Traffic Operations and Planning Division of the Public Works Department. Form/Spatial Aptitude: Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width and shape. Motor Coordination: Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes rapidly and accurately in using law enforcement equipment. Manual Dexterity: Requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as radios, firearms, etc. Must have high levels of eye/hand/foot coordination to execute a forceful arrest. Color Discrimination: Requires the ability to differentiate between colors and shades of color.
