Full-time position available with KC Water Stormwater Preventative Maintenance Division, Green Solutions Section located at 1800 Prospect Ave. Salary Range: $18.24-$29.44/hour Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday, 6:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Application Deadline Date: April 12, 2021 Responsibilities Work requires participating with and supervising field crews in the operation and maintenance of green stormwater infrastructure and vegetation, including but not limited to: rain gardens, bio retention cells, and pervious pavements. Utilizes a field tablet to maintain necessary notes. Submits required work order reports in Hansen CMMS and PeopleSoft CRM. Provides appropriate safety and equipment training to staff and works with employees to achieve annual production goals. Work involves independent judgment, being able to follow and give instructions properly, and organizing and planning resource usage. Must possess good leadership skills and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, management, and the general public. Performs special projects as requested by management. Monitors the maintenance of all assigned equipment and vehicles and maintains accurate time keeping records information. Qualifications REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree in turf management and associated landscaping and 1 year of related experience; OR an accredited Associate's degree in turf management and associated landscaping and 3 years of related experience; OR high school graduation and 5 years of related experience, 2 years of which must be at the Labor Leader level. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City. Preference given to applicants with 5 years experience in Stormwater landscape maintenance, forestry, horticulture, or a related field. Native vegetation maintenance experience is highly preferred.
