An employee with four years of experience at the Civil Engineer level may apply to compete for promotion to Senior Engineer. Employees may choose from several HMO and Indemnity plans. As of January 1, 2024, the Districts contribute $2,202.87 per month for medical insurance. Depending on the choice of health plan, the Districts contribution covers all or a large portion of the premium for family coverage. DENTAL: Districts paid. The Districts pay the full premium for employee and dependent coverage for a prepaid dental program which provides for most routine dental care through a panel of contracting dentists with no deductibles. THE POSITION The City of Ventura Public Works Department is looking for an energetic Assistant/Associate/Civil Engineer to join the Design and Construction Division. ABOUT THE POSITION The County of Riverside's Flood Control District has multiple opportunities for Associate Civil Engineers that will be assigned to multiple divisions located in Riverside. The Engineers will under minimal direction, perform varied and difficult flood control engineering work in one or more of the District's engineering divisions, which span from Planning, Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Stormwater Management facilities. The classification of Associate Civil Engineer is the advanced journey level in the professional civil engineering series. Assignments may vary from a design unit in the Road, Flood Control, Development Services, and Maintenance and Operations Divisions, to acting as resident engineer on various types of public works construction projects to exercising final review of all civil and structural plans submitted by private builders.
