Job Summary: Under the supervision of a Physician and the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Physician Assistant provides a wide range of primary health care services within their established scope of practice to provide a wide range of primary health care services, such as conducting physical examinations, assessing, diagnosing, treating and managing illnesses and injuries, ordering tests and interpreting the results, counseling patients on preventive care, and preventive and health maintenance services. Major duties and responsibilities: Primary Healthcare Services • Performs complete physical examinations, including obtaining detailed medical histories, using applicable clinical techniques and diagnostic tools • Diagnose common acute and chronic illnesses and injuries and develop treatment plans based upon an evaluation of a patient’s medical history, physical examination, and test results • Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and preventative counseling and education regarding reproductive health needs for all genders, including but not limited to STIs, contraception, and pregnancy; provides medication abortion service • Interpretation of patient's medical history, physical exam, and diagnostic tests, and recognition between normal, normal variance, and abnormal findings.
