Heat Plant Specialist II will work under the direct supervision of the Facility Supervisor II. This will be underfilling the Heat Plant Specialist 3. The incumbent will responsible for checking system functions; monitoring and /or adjusting a computerized energy managements system; adjust combustion and safety controls; adjust press and temperature gauges; take water samples and analyze chemical properties of feed water; prevent water deposits and sludge build-up. They will also be doing preventative maintenance, system maintenance, keeping system logs and be required to respond to emergencies. These positions require 24 hour coverage so there will be night and graveyard shifts.
