Minimum Qualifications Four years of full-time experience in plumbing under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services. When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated. Duties Description • Perform journey level work in the primary trade of plumbing and performs skilled and semi-skilled levels of work in carpentry, electrical and masonry in the repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment. • Repair, maintain, and install various plumbing fixtures and appliances such as sinks, showers, toilets, urinals, drinking fountains, hot water appliances, etc. • Repair, maintain, and install water distribution lines, sewer infrastructure components, and natural gas or propane supply lines. • Repair, maintain, and install HVAC appliances, components, and systems. • Plumbing duties will include project planning, lay out procedures, blueprint reading, purchasing and overall coordination of assigned projects. • Perform carpentry duties such as blocking, framing, repair, and trim work. • Complete basic electric duties including changing devices, installing controls, and fixture installation. • Execute masonry work such as concrete demolition and pouring slabs. • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment including dump trucks, aerial trucks, loaders and similar construction equipment. • Daily supervision of other permanent and seasonal staff will be required along with training of such staff.
