The Chief Building Official leads, formulates, directs, and manages the activities of the Building Services Division for the City of Olathe. Oversees and ensures the enforcement of municipal ordinances, codes, and standards for construction of residential and commercial buildings. Responsible for the management of building construction and permitting activities through permit issuance, plan review, inspection, and investigation of construction code and safety issues. Supervises subordinate team leaders directing the activities of inspectors, permit technicians, and plan examiners.
