DISCRIMINATION, HARASSMENT, AND RETALIATION (DHR)/TITLE IX INVESTIGATOR

California State University, Los Angeles, invites applications for the above Administrator I position.

The Position : The incumbent is responsible for supporting the Title IX Officer/Office in responding and investigating Title IX and civil rights discrimination, harassment and related retaliation reports and complaints from students and employees and presenting related training. The incumbent also ensures that university policies, procedures, protocols, and practices are in compliance with Title VII, Title IX, ADA, 2022 Reauthorization of VAWA/Campus SaVE Act, and related state laws, such as FEHA and California State University policies. The incumbent will conduct prompt, thorough and objective investigations of and respond to reports/complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation related to legally protected status; and participate in addressing violations of Title IX, including implementing interim protective and supportive measures as required by CSU Policy; apply University policies, and ensure appropriate enforcement as necessary; design and conduct training programs for faculty, staff and students on related policies and procedures; partner with the Title IX Coordinator in implementing institutional Title IX and CSU Policy in relation to notification, training, website and communications to the campus community; and will maintain database for tracking reports/complaints and preparing regular reports.

Required Qualifications & Experience : Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field and three years of related experience required. The incumbent must also have experience developing and delivering training. The incumbent must have advanced knowledge of Word and PowerPoint; Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), Title VII, ADA, Title IX,VAWA, and other applicable laws and regulations; and of best practices as they relate to institutions of higher education compliance with Title IX and VAWA. The incumbent must have strong presentation skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent must have the ability to work collaboratively with the campus community; interpret and apply technical letters and CSU policies and procedures; use appropriate judgment when making decisions and recommendations; adapt presentations to target audiences; use Excel or HRIS at an intermediate level; prioritize work and meet deadlines; maintain confidentiality; understanding of privacy laws and policies; prioritize work and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently; analyze, evaluate and interpret policies; and to manage an ongoing and complex caseload of incidents and complaints. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University. Desired Qualifications : Master's degree from an accredited four-year college or university or Juris Doctor. Two years of experience conducting HR-related and/or EEO related investigations and Title IX investigations. Working knowledge of issues related to gender-based violence.

Compensation : Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary range is $3,983 - $11,703/monthly. Anticipated salary range is $8,333 -$8,750/monthly. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Appointment : The Administrator I appointment will be made under the guidelines for management and supervisory employees of the California State University. All rights and benefits associated with this appointment are governed by the Management Personnel Plan.
