Tenure Track Faculty Position Electromechanical Engineering Technology Department College of Engineering California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, invites applications for two tenure-track assistant professor positions in the Electromechanical Engineering Technology Department. Student Population. California residents comprise the majority (96%) of applicants to undergraduate programs at Cal Poly Pomona, and 41% of new students were transfers in Fall 2022. 57% of Cal Poly Pomona students are first generation, 70% receive financial aid, and 44% qualify as Pell-eligible. College of Engineering: The College of Engineering’s mission is to prepare students for industry and advanced studies by implementing an inclusive polytechnic philosophy through collaborative teamwork, innovation, entrepreneurship, and professional integrity. The Electromechanical Engineering Technology Department in the College of Engineering at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites applications for tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin fall 2024. The Position: The faculty member will be required to be able to teach undergraduate classes in all areas of the Electromechanical Engineering Technology curriculum as needed. The primary areas of expertise desired include electromechanical systems, or fluids/thermal systems/HVAC. The position requires excellence in teaching and advising, professional and scholarly achievements, and a commitment to service to the university. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent teaching, research projects, written and oral communication skill. Minimum Qualifications: - Ph.D. in mechanical/electromechanical/electrical engineering or closely related field from an accredited university by August 1, 2024
