Job Description
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Plumbing Engineer, Building Construction, or related field is required. Three (3) years of experience reviewing plans, for compliance with plumbing systems for major structures. Additional classes in plumbing engineering, plumbing certification for state compliance or other that shows proficiency in plumbing designs, standards, and general practices. OR State certified plumbing contractor and High school diploma or equivalent with considerable experience in plumbing installation and review of the trade. Minimum five years construction experience in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education & Experience
Field experience in installation, plan reviews, inspections or class time affiliated with plumbing requirements is preferred.
Licensures and Certifications Required:
Valid Georgia Driver’s License Certified Plumbing Inspector Plans Examiner by the ICC or obtain Certification within 6 months of hire. At least five years field experience as a state Certified Plumbing Contractor issued by the Georgia Construction Industry Licensing Board with not less than five years of field experience; OR A current license issued by the State of Georgia as an Engineer may substitute for three of the required five years of construction experience.
