Nature of Work

Develops, maintains, and enhances new and existing reporting systems according to customer feedback and independent understanding of business operations. Data is turned into information and information into insights that directly influence and advance organizational capability. Performs professional and administrative work and provides direct Business Intelligence support to all levels and disciplines of Economic Development, with emphasis on Building and Development functions that are of key interest to City of Orlando customers. Prepares and delivers presentations that articulate business results to diverse audiences. Capable of leading changes to business processes, systems and technology, and driving faster adoption and higher proficiency amongst staff. Work is performed under the general direction of the Information Platforms Manager and is reviewed through discussions and reports submitted..

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance/Economics or related field required and three (3) or more years experience in data analysis and/or custom report development for end users required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Direct experience creating SQL queries, tables, stored procedures, and views in relational database environment required. Direct experience with business intelligence applications such as Power BI or Tableau preferred. Valid Florida driver’s license is required.
